For supplier orders, it was pen and paper or Excel. It was a nightmare. Now, you save a lot of time. And dropshipping avoids multiple documents and back-and-forth.

We specialize in ventilation systems and, more broadly, building ventilation, anything that renews the air inside a building, whether it’s a home or a commercial building, office, or store, and sometimes an industrial or agricultural site. After two years, we’re now handling about 1,000 orders a month, as we did in September, which works out to a good 30 orders a day. For the first few months, I wanted to start without a solution, with PrestaShop. A year in, volumes started rising and I was reaching 15 to 20 orders a day, so I really started thinking about it. I contacted Boostmyshop, who had already given me a demo before I launched the company. I started in December 2025, so it’s been almost a year, and I’m very happy with the product.

First, it gave me structure and organization, which I didn’t necessarily have. I don’t come from logistics, though I did some at previous companies, so I knew the basics. But I lacked a method, so I made sure to follow Boostmyshop’s approach. It’s well designed by e-commerce operators who understand how things work in practice. For me, there are two major benefits. The first is speed. Before, I estimate I was processing about 10 orders an hour. Now it’s more like 15 to 20. I haven’t doubled it, but nearly. That’s important. The other great thing is that I make fewer mistakes. When you follow the workflow, there’s a picking stage, followed by packing. You pick the items at your table, well, onto a cart, and then you prepare each order. So if you made a picking mistake, you should catch it while packing. Those two stages reduce the risk of errors, so I make far fewer mistakes. And that’s extremely important, because, for now, I work alone. Anything that streamlines my work and avoids customer-service issues or rework makes a huge difference.

Order preparation and shipping-label printing. Then there’s inventory management. Because I don’t have an ERP or other software, it was essential for the system to manage purchasing. The replenishment tool helps me with that, and it’s easy to create supplier orders and receive them, using those supplier orders to update inventory. That’s great. Then there’s dropshipping. Dropshipping is only a small part of my business, but I think it’s very well built. With this virtual dropshipping warehouse, eligible products are routed automatically. From there, it only takes a few clicks to send the order to the supplier. Once your supplier is used to working that way, it’s very smooth. Most importantly, the connection to PrestaShop works seamlessly. It’s almost instant: orders flow down, then statuses flow back up. It’s very smooth.

A month and a half, at most. If you want to avoid a huge, complex setup or being sold an ERP with all the integration issues that come with it, and you want a complete, robust solution that handles order preparation, inventory management, and purchasing, Boostmyshop is a very good product.
