These dimensions control the SVG and A4 sheet. Measure your label stock, then print at 100% scale.

Choose EAN, UPC or Code 128

Your data decides the format. An assigned GTIN calls for EAN or UPC; an internal reference calls for Code 128 B.

EAN-13 and EAN-8

Use them to represent an assigned GTIN. The tool checks the fixed length and final check digit.

UPC-A

Use it for an existing North American product identifier. Supply all 12 digits.

Code 128 B

Use it for internal references and warehouse locations. The symbol carries its own check character.

A valid image does not assign a GTIN

Validation checks number structure and the check digit. It does not prove allocation, ownership or the linked product. For commercial identification, start with a number licensed through your GS1 Member Organisation.

The blocker is rarely the image, but what surrounds it: a wrong check digit, a code clipped by the margin, a sheet rescaled at print time.

Start from the number you were already assigned

An EAN-13 comes from your GS1 Member Organisation, a location code from your addressing plan. The tool represents it; it does not allocate it.

Check before printing, not after

Length and check digit are verified on screen. Once the sheet is on the racking, you correct rack by rack.

Print at true scale

The sheet follows your dimensions on A4. Scaling it changes the narrow-module width and breaks the read.

You are addressing a warehouse

Aisles, bays and levels already exist in your plan. You need a Code 128 B sheet in that exact order, applied rack by rack without losing your place.

You are labeling products

The GTINs are assigned and you want their check digits verified before printing hundreds. A wrong check digit is invisible on a crisp image.

You are reusing an existing list

An ERP export or spreadsheet already holds values, labels and quantities. That file order is your picking route, and it survives untouched.

Yes. Paste the list or import a CSV with value, label, quantity and format columns. Every row comes back out in its place: nothing is sorted and nothing is deduplicated.

Yes. Validation, preview, the SVG and the first A4 page — downloaded or printed — are free, with no account and no email. Beyond that page, the complete sheet asks for an email address.

Reading the body of the number from right to left, digits are multiplied alternately by 3 and 1. The check digit is (10 − (that weighted sum modulo 10)) modulo 10. The tool applies the same rule GS1 publishes in its own calculator.

UPC-A carries 12 digits and is the common retail format in North America; EAN-13 carries 13 and is the common format elsewhere. Both are GTINs and both end with a check digit this tool verifies.

For a commercial identifier used across retailers and marketplaces, start from a number licensed through your GS1 Member Organisation. A valid image does not allocate a GTIN: this tool checks structure and check digit, never ownership.

The most common cause is a barcode font: stretched by the word processor or clipped by the margin, it draws bars the scanner refuses. An SVG keeps the bar widths exact. Paste the printed value here and compare it with the code on your label.
