How DHL fits with myFulfillment
What is DHL?
DHL is not one network. DHL Express handles international express across 220+ countries and territories, DHL eCommerce covers European parcels, DHL Parcel DE serves Germany, and each division exposes its own API family on developer.dhl.com. For a merchant fulfilling from France, the export lane is almost always DHL Express, next to domestic carriers like Colissimo or Mondial Relay. DHL does the transport; myFulfillment runs the operation around it: multichannel orders centralized, barcode-checked packing, the DHL Express shipment created through MyDHL API with customs documents in the same call, tracking written back to the channel.
Orders, stock, picking and barcode-checked packing.
Applies your carrier rule and prints the DHL label at packing.
Home or pickup-point delivery, tracking sent back to the sales channel.
DHL with any sales channel
DHL via myFulfillment takes orders from any sales channel or marketplace that feeds myFulfillment. Orders flow into the OMS, packing is barcode-checked, the DHL Express shipment is created through MyDHL API, then tracking flows back to the customer. Browse the DHL combinations by channel below: Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento and more.
myFulfillment runs the picking, DHL prints the label
At packing time, myFulfillment creates the DHL Express shipment through MyDHL API and prints the label as PDF or ZPL depending on the station printer. Customs documents for international orders are generated in the same Shipment call.
See the featuremyFulfillment queries the MyDHL API Rating operation with your account: the DHL rates and products shown are your contract's, not a public grid. The carrier rule routes the shipment to DHL by weight, zone and service level.
See the featureWhen the shipment is created through MyDHL API, the DHL tracking number flows back to the store or marketplace and triggers the shipping notification to the customer. On the network side, DHL unifies Express, eCommerce and Freight tracking in its Shipment Tracking Unified API.
Outbound: DHL tracking number to the sales channel and the customer, when the shipment is created.
See the featureValidated, paid orders flow from your channels into the myFulfillment OMS, the DHL shipment is created through MyDHL API at the packing station, and pickup is booked in the same Shipment call or through the dedicated Pickup operation.
Inbound: validated, paid orders from connected channels, about every 5 minutes.
See the featureOut-of-home delivery relies on DHL's Location Finder API: Service Points, lockers and post offices across 47 countries, with opening hours and services per point. The point your customer picks at checkout lands on the DHL label.
See the featureOnce the DHL Express shipment is gone, customs documents included, myFulfillment deducts the shipped items from stock and pushes the updated availability to the channels; the export lane never touches the selling price.
Outbound: updated availability to the channels, after the shipment leaves.

When DHL is enough, and when myFulfillment makes the difference
Our operator's read: DHL handles international express transport; what makes the difference at volume is creating the shipment and its customs documents inside the preparation flow, not in a separate portal.
- An express network across 220+ countries and territories: the natural export lane from France
- MyDHL API in REST JSON: shipment, label (PDF, ZPL) and customs documents in a single call
- Out-of-home delivery through Location Finder: Service Points, lockers and post offices in 47 countries
- Three distinct networks and API families (Express, eCommerce, Parcel DE): this integration covers Express, the other divisions run their own APIs
- DHL's official per-CMS connectors handle the label one store at a time, with no guided preparation or packing check

How our customers use DHL day-to-day
Day to day, merchants who connect DHL to myFulfillment treat exports like domestic parcels: the Shopify, WooCommerce or Amazon order flows into the OMS, the operator scans the items, and the DHL Express shipment leaves with its label and customs documents, with no separate carrier portal to re-key.
An order bound for the UK or Switzerland follows the same preparation flow as a French parcel: the MyDHL API Shipment call returns the label and the customs documents together, so cross-border orders never need a manual lane.
International merchants fulfilling from a French warehouse or 3PL connect their stores to myFulfillment like any channel; DHL Express becomes the export lane while domestic French carriers keep handling local parcels.
Customers pick a DHL Service Point, locker or post office at checkout; Location Finder carries opening hours and services per point, and the choice lands on the label with no re-keying.
The rule routes orders to DHL by weight, zone and service level, next to Colissimo or Mondial Relay for domestic France; the operator can still override a specific parcel during preparation.
Export orders prepared in a separate lane: customs paperwork by hand, re-keying into a carrier portal, shipping errors.
Barcode-checked preparation where the shipment leaves customs-ready with myFulfillment.

myFulfillment sits in the middle, so DHL works with any sales channel that feeds it: every order comes in from a channel, leaves with the right DHL label, and tracking flows back to the customer. A few live pairings below.
Connect DHL to myFulfillment, step by step
- 1Connect your DHL Express account to myFulfillment with your MyDHL API credentials; the connector covers the Express division.
- 2Map your carrier rules: weight, destination zone, service level, home delivery or DHL service point.
- 3Prepare the order: after the barcode check, myFulfillment creates the DHL shipment with its label and customs documents.
- 4The DHL tracking number returns to your store; book a pickup or drop the parcels at a Service Point.
A DHL Express account is required, with MyDHL API credentials: the connector covers DHL Express; DHL eCommerce (eConnect) and DHL Parcel DE are separate divisions, not covered by this integration. myFulfillment drives preparation, shipment creation and resynchronization; DHL provides the transport network and its service points.
DHL: frequently asked questions
Pricing, contract, carriers, Shopify, pickup points, international: answers on the DHL integration.
Our connector targets DHL Express, through MyDHL API: the international express network, the typical export lane for e-commerce from France. DHL eCommerce (the eConnect API) and DHL Parcel DE (Germany) are separate DHL divisions with their own APIs, not covered by this integration. With a DHL Express contract, myFulfillment creates your shipments on it, label and customs documents included.
Connect the channel to myFulfillment, then your DHL account: Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop or Magento orders flow into the OMS and the DHL shipment is created at the packing station. DHL's official apps and plugins print labels for one store at a time; myFulfillment sits above the channels, so one DHL connection serves all of them. The combinations by channel are listed further down the page.
Yes. Merchants fulfilling from a French warehouse or 3PL connect their stores and marketplaces to myFulfillment like any other channel. The DHL Express shipment is created at the packing station on your own DHL account, with your contract rates and customs documents included.
Yes. myFulfillment queries the MyDHL API Rating operation with your credentials: the rates and products returned are the ones negotiated on your DHL account, not a public grid. The carrier rule uses them to route each shipment, and the operator sees the selected service during preparation.
The MyDHL API Shipment call generates customs documents together with the label: no separate form to fill at the packing station. To estimate duties and taxes before shipping, MyDHL API also exposes a Landed Cost operation. Check the customs scope of your DHL contract for destinations outside the European Union.
The connector covers DHL Express: on the network side, an Express return is dropped at a DHL Service Point. Parcel DE return labels and eConnect labelless returns belong to other DHL divisions and do not go through this integration.
Yes. DHL's Location Finder API lists Service Points, lockers and post offices across 47 countries, with opening hours and services per point; DHL Group reports 36,000+ parcel lockers in Europe (2024 annual report). The point your customer picks at checkout lands on the label.
Access to the DHL APIs is free on developer.dhl.com, and transport is billed to your DHL account at your contract rates. On the Boostmyshop side, DHL runs on the myFulfillment TMS module.
Both work. Pickup is booked when the shipment is created, in the same Shipment call, or through the dedicated MyDHL API Pickup operation. Without a scheduled pickup, parcels are dropped at a DHL Service Point.
Saturday delivery is one of DHL Express's optional services, depending on destination and contract. As with other DHL options, check availability on your account; its setup is handled when the integration is configured.
