BigCommerce order fulfillment for warehouse teams

BigCommerce runs the storefront. myFulfillment runs the work after checkout: orders enter one operating queue, warehouse staff verify each pick, and inventory plus tracking return to the store. It is order-fulfillment software for teams operating their own warehouse, not an outsourced fulfillment service.

Overview

How BigCommerce fits with myFulfillment

What is BigCommerce?

BigCommerce is a commerce platform for the storefront, catalog and checkout. It is not the warehouse system that tells an operator where to pick, checks the item at packing or chooses the carrier label. myFulfillment adds that operational layer. The Boostmyshop module brings BigCommerce orders into an OMS, while the WMS manages warehouse locations, reservations, barcode checks and packing. Available inventory and tracking then return to BigCommerce. Purchasing, multi-warehouse routing and returns stay in the same operating system. This is narrower than a company-wide ERP because accounting, payroll and HR remain outside the product. It is also different from a 3PL: your team keeps control of the warehouse and uses software to run it.

BigCommerce sales, one warehouse flow

A BigCommerce order joins the same preparation queue as orders from your other connected channels. The warehouse applies its normal scan checks and carrier rules, then returns fulfillment and tracking to the store.

In practice

How our customers use BigCommerce day to day

BigCommerce stays customer-facing. In the warehouse, your team releases the right orders, follows the picking route, checks each item and closes the parcel with the selected carrier. myFulfillment then updates the store with inventory and tracking information.

01
Move beyond the store's order screen

Bring BigCommerce orders into the same queue as your other channels. Warehouse filters, reservations and routing replace store-by-store handling.

02
Protect the pick before shipping

Scan the warehouse location and item for each BigCommerce order. A mismatch stops the parcel before the carrier label is used.

03
Run several locations from one pool

Select the warehouses that contribute available inventory. BigCommerce receives the resulting quantity while myFulfillment keeps the location-level detail.

Before you connect

The Boostmyshop module covers BigCommerce orders, operational product data, available inventory, fulfillment confirmation and tracking. The Boostmyshop team assists with setup and validates the mapped workflow before go-live. Retail-price changes and BigCommerce returns system updates stay outside the verified module scope.

FAQ

BigCommerce: frequently asked questions

Pricing, setup, order and stock sync, carriers, worldwide selling and shipping: answers about the BigCommerce integration.

It takes over the warehouse work after checkout. myFulfillment brings BigCommerce orders into an OMS, reserves inventory, directs picking and packing, creates the carrier label and writes fulfillment plus tracking back to the store. Your team still operates the warehouse.

No. BigCommerce is a commerce platform for the storefront, catalog and checkout. myFulfillment adds the OMS and WMS workflows behind it. Finance, payroll and HR remain outside this scope, so it is not a company-wide ERP replacement.

Use an OMS when orders from several channels need one queue and routing logic. Use a WMS when warehouse locations, scan checks, picking and packing are the problem. myFulfillment combines both for BigCommerce operations.

The Boostmyshop team enables the Boostmyshop module during onboarding. In the integration setup, you map order states, shipping and payment methods, choose the warehouses feeding inventory, then test an order, an inventory change and tracking write-back.

Yes. BigCommerce orders enter the myFulfillment OMS with the operational details needed for routing and preparation. Your team can filter them with orders from other connected channels and send each one to the responsible warehouse.

Yes. myFulfillment keeps the location-level inventory and calculates the available quantity from the warehouses you select. That number returns to BigCommerce after the inventory change is processed.

Yes. The warehouse creates the shipment and carrier label in myFulfillment. Fulfillment confirmation and the tracking number then return to the BigCommerce order for customer service and notifications.

Yes, with the myWebPOS module. myFulfillment can route the order to a store holding the item for in-store pickup or ship-from-store. BigCommerce remains the storefront while store inventory participates in the same operational pool.

It is warehouse software. A 3PL receives and ships goods on your behalf. myFulfillment is for teams keeping operational control: your staff use the OMS, WMS, carrier tools and purchasing module to run fulfillment themselves.
