bpost integration: labels, pickup points and tracking

The bpost integration connects your business account to the Boostmyshop module in myFulfillment. From a shipment-ready order, the team selects a bpost service, creates the shipment, prints a PDF or ZPL label and keeps the tracking number with its link. Displayed rates come from your configuration, not a live bpost quote.

Overview

How bpost fits with myFulfillment

What is bpost?

bpost is Belgium's national postal operator. It handles collection, transport and delivery; myFulfillment runs the work before and around the handoff: shipment-ready orders, service selection, the Shipping Manager request, a label at the packing station and a tracking number stored with the shipment. This route uses your bpost business account. It is separate from Plug & ship, the set of modules bpost publishes for selected e-commerce platforms.

bpost with your connected sales channels

bpost through myFulfillment can process any eligible order already centralized, whether it came from a store, marketplace or another connected channel. The channel remains responsible for supplying the order data, including the selected pickup-point ID when applicable.

For a bpost shipment, myFulfillment creates the order in Shipping Manager and retrieves a PDF label in A4 or A6, or a ZPL label in A6. The document is attached to the shipment with its tracking number.

For bpost, I test three outputs separately: the right service, the right label format and the tracking number. One successful label does not validate the whole flow.

Our verdict

When bpost is enough, and when myFulfillment makes the difference

Our operator's view: the bpost connector covers shipment creation at the packing stage, provided the team separates what it actually returns from the events bpost keeps in its own tools.

In practice

How our customers use bpost day to day

In daily use, a team connecting bpost to myFulfillment stays in its myFulfillment preparation queue. It selects the required service, creates the shipment from the order and retrieves the label without re-keying the recipient in the carrier portal.

01
A bpost label at the packing station

The operator finishes packing the parcel, selects the planned method and retrieves the PDF or ZPL document in the same shipment, together with the tracking number.

02
The pickup point checked before creation

When the order carries the ID selected at checkout, the connector queries the Locator service and uses the returned details to compose the bpost shipment.

03
Configured contract prices by method

The team compares bpost methods using prices configured in the carrier account. A contractual rate change therefore has to be reflected in that configuration.

04
Cross-docking remains in the warehouse flow

A bpost order awaiting receipt can keep its negative-stock allocation, then return to preparation when the supplier quantity is received.

A comparable operation

An order ready to ship, followed by re-keying the address, service and parcel in another tool just to obtain the label.

Preparation stays in myFulfillment; bpost enters the flow when the shipment is created and the label is retrieved.

Getting started

Connect bpost to myFulfillment, step by step

  1. 1Have the account number and passphrase for your bpost business account ready; API access depends on that account.
  2. 2Enter both credentials in myFulfillment, then run the connection check against bpost's product-configuration service.
  3. 3Choose the label format: PDF in A4 or A6, or ZPL in A6, then configure address validation if required.
  4. 4Map your bpost methods and configured prices; for pickup, verify that the order carries the selected point ID.
  5. 5Create a test shipment and check the service, label, tracking number and Track & Trace link before go-live.
Before you connect

A bpost business account with Shipping Manager access is required. myFulfillment creates the shipment on that account and stores the label and tracking number; bpost performs transport and exposes detailed events in Track & Trace. The connector uses prices configured in your carrier account, without a live bpost quote. For pickup-point or locker delivery, the order must supply the selected ID.

Romain Nury

The pickup-point ID has to arrive with the order. During onboarding we test it through to the label, then run a home and an international shipment.

FAQ

bpost: frequently asked questions

Pricing, contract, carriers, Shopify, pickup points, worldwide selling and shipping: answers on the bpost integration.

You need to be a bpost business customer and have the six-digit account number and Shipping Manager passphrase. myFulfillment uses both values to check access against bpost's product-configuration service.

The connector retrieves PDF labels in A4 or A6. ZPL is available in A6. The selected format is stored in the carrier-account configuration.

The order must carry the ID selected at checkout. For pickup methods, the connector resolves that point through bpost's Locator service before creating the shipment. It does not replace the selector displayed in the storefront.

No. In the verified connector, the label response supplies the tracking number and myFulfillment builds a Track & Trace link with the postcode. Detailed events remain available through bpost.

No. myFulfillment presents each method with the price configured on your carrier account for that request. Your contractual bpost rate card remains the reference that must be kept current.

Yes. The connector distinguishes Belgian delivery from the international method. An address outside Belgium routes to the bpack World Business service in the implementation; actual coverage depends on your bpost contract.

The connector exposes signature and Saturday-delivery options when creating the shipment. Availability and charges depend on the selected service and your bpost contract.

The myFulfillment RMA workflow covers the request, receipt, inspection, refund or exchange. This verification does not confirm bpost return-label generation by the connector, so that transport step must be agreed during setup.

Plug & ship connects directly to selected platforms, including Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Adobe Commerce. The myFulfillment integration serves the warehouse operation: it starts with eligible orders already centralized and creates the bpost shipment during preparation.
