What is Shippo?

Shippo is a multi-carrier shipping platform. The Shippo account provides access to the services enabled by Shippo and the carrier accounts linked to it. Shippo handles transport: rates, label purchases, and tracking. myFulfillment handles the rest of the operational flow: orders, inventory, fulfillment, scan checks, and the shipment record. The integration connects the two without covering every feature Shippo offers directly.

Getting started

Connect Shippo to myFulfillment, step by step

  1. 1Open a Shippo account or sign in to your existing account, then check the carriers and services available for your shipping zones.
  2. 2In Shippo, create a dedicated API token and keep it in your credential manager.
  3. 3During onboarding, ask the Boostmyshop team to configure the Boostmyshop module with that token, the label format and the expected carrier accounts.
  4. 4Test a representative parcel: address, weight, dimensions, rate, PDF label and tracking number.
  5. 5Validate tracking refresh in myFulfillment before opening the flow to regular shipments.
Before you connect

A Shippo account and API token are required. The integration retrieves rates, buys the PDF label, and reads tracking. It does not select a pickup point, create a return label, or cancel a shipment. Available services and charges remain those of the Shippo account.

Shippo: frequently asked questions

No. Shippo aggregates services from several carriers behind one account and API. In this integration, myFulfillment sends shipment data to Shippo and retrieves rates, the label and tracking.

The methods shown include Chronopost, Colissimo, DHL, DPD, and FedEx, among others. These are examples, not an exhaustive promise. Actual results depend on the accounts and services enabled in Shippo, as well as the route and parcel.

Generate an API token in your Shippo account, then have the Boostmyshop module configured during onboarding. Acceptance testing should cover a rate, PDF label, tracking number and one status refresh.

The request contains the cities, postal codes and countries for origin and destination, plus parcel data. Shippo then returns the carrier, service, amount and currency for each available option.

After the Shippo transaction, the integration downloads the PDF, records the tracking number, and confirms the label on the myFulfillment shipment. These items stay attached to the operator’s record.

The integration reads the Shippo history and maps the latest event to myFulfillment operational statuses, including new, in transit, delivered, canceled, or error.

The Boostmyshop module is included with myFulfillment. Shippo account and transaction charges depend on the merchant's plan and usage. Check Shippo's current pricing before setting the budget.

The integration handles none of those three functions. If your flow requires them, request explicit validation during scoping instead of inferring them from Shippo’s wider platform features.
